  • Consultant

A passion for local Hawkes Bay business and a hard lined successful approach to helping his clients build and develop a successful business is one of the key driving forces behind George. He’s also committed to working alongside families to open the lines of communication and proactively work through the management of wealth and the process of succession to the next generation. “Early planning and communication provides for the best chance of success and ultimately prevents financial matters from threatening and eroding pre-existing family relationships”.

George's work is focused in areas as diverse as rural, retail, charitable, and the service sectors. George has an eye for detail and when it comes to dealing with a difficult situation or a troublesome contract, you won’t find a better ally to have in your corner. He is also the BWR director responsible for the Heretaunga Building Society, which has a variety of rural, commercial and residential clients.

Born in southern Hawke's Bay, George completed his secondary education at Wellington College. After graduating with a BCA from Victoria University, he spent two years in the capital before being seconded to Edinburgh. Returning to Hawke's Bay in 1984, George joined Brown Webb, becoming a partner in 1996.

For leisure George enjoys watching motorsport, and keeping fit. He’s also enthusiastic about walking and has been fortunate enough to walk a number of New Zealand’s more iconic “Tracks”.
