Stephen Dine
Consultant
Stephen has a large and diverse client base with an emphasis on the rural sector and has developed an in-depth specialised knowledge of the horticultural and viticultural industries. Stephen has many sheep and beef farmers as clients and boasts a strong understanding of the unique dynamics of the sheep and beef industry.
Balancing out against the rural side, Stephen also has a wide range of commercial and retail clients alongside a number of clients with significant investment portfolios. Stephen’s belief in the value of building strong relationships is reflected in the personal and hands on service offered by Stephen to all his clients.
Born and bred in Hawkes Bay, Stephen has strong ties throughout the community, a number of which go back to his years of education at St Johns College. From St Johns, Stephen went onto Massey University to gain his tertiary qualification and initial grounding in accountancy. After becoming a CA in 1986, Stephen progressed onto becoming a partner of Richardson Epplett in 1989.
Stephen fills in some of his spare time as an active rugby referee and admits he still enjoys managing the challenge of co-ordinating a group of 30 players hell bent on running over top of each other. In contrast to the rugby, when fair weather and free time permits, Stephen also enjoys sneaking out with his irons and trundler to test his patience in a manner in which only a golf course can offer.
